Footprint Graphics tab

Contains controls to specify how to resymbolize a footprint graphic in an extracted drawing.

Resymbolize with cell Turn on this check box to use a cell to resymbolize the footprint graphic in the extracted drawing. When you turn on this check box, the Cell Scale fields appear, as well as a name field for the cell. When you have turned on the Resymbolize with cell check box, a field appears next to it. Enter the name of the cell.


Cell X scale (option menu) Select the scale or measurement to use in the plot.
  • Cell X scale – Enter a scale for the cell.
  • Width in plot – Enter the actual width you want the cell to be in the plot.
Cell Y scale (option menu) Select the scale or measurement to use in the plot.
  • Cell Y scale – Enter a scale for the cell.
  • Depth in plot – Enter the actual depth you want the cell to be in the plot.
Footprint scale With the Resymbolize with cell check box turned off, this field appears on the tab. Enter the scale to use in the resymbolization of the footprint graphic in drawings.
Symbology Sets the symbology for the footprint graphics. When resymbolizing with cell, check boxes appear that are used to override cell graphics symbology.
  • Level — Sets the level for the footprint graphic resymbolization.
  • Color — Sets the color for the footprint graphic resymbolization.
  • Style — Sets the line style for the footprint graphic resymbolization.
  • Weight — Sets the line weight for the footprint graphic resymbolization.
Hidden Edge Symbology Hidden edges are those that are “covered” by another item in the drawing (a beam end that is hidden, for example). Even if you set the symbology for hidden edges here, you must also turn on the hidden edges on the Forward/Reflected view settings used during drawing composition.
  • Level — Sets the level for hidden single edges.
  • Color — Sets the color for hidden single edges.
  • Style — Sets the line style for hidden single edges.
  • Weight — Sets the line weight for hidden single edges.
